Remember the snow peas left in my fridge from yesterday’s post? Well…I did something totally delicious with them. I boiled them until they were tender and then sautéed them lightly (about 2-3 minutes) in some olive oil, garlic and whole-grain mustard. Then drizzled them with just a dash of lemon juice...and they were simply delish! Nothing great or complicated involved in making them, but the taste is just too good.
And in case you’re wondering why my fridge was so bare yesterday...well, it’s because it’s time to pack up and leave this place! I need to take a break....hopefully it will be a short one. Like they say, change is the only constant in life. So it's time to say goodbye to Paris and embark on a new adventure, as R is done with his MBA and the job-hunt has begun. We're heading back to India in 3 days and as I start packing up, I look back at the past year with fond memories and feel lucky for having had this chance. It’s been a roller-coaster ride and I’ve had fun all along.
I have to say that as much as I will miss Paris , I am looking forward to having a proper kitchen. Till now, I have been functioning from my humble little kitchenette in our studio apartment.
Of course, that meant a lot of limitations that sometimes turned into frustrations. So now, more than anything, I am waiting to have a well-equipped big kitchen...so I can cook to my hearts desire. I'll be back soon...with better, tastier recipes from a bigger, better kitchen! :)
wow that's amazing! would never have thought that these beautiful dishes come out of such a tiny kitchen! Bravo!
